Oh yes I did see David Bowie yesterday. He was sitting in the corner—looking fab—wearing glasses, conducting a meeting. Seriously, he looks SO great. Has he had surgery? Or is he just a healthy, happy and successful man?

And I saw Whoopie Goldberg also. I’ve always loved her. Smiley, happy and exuding positive energy.

Also LOVE the show “Samantha Who”. I love all the characters. And the other day as I walked up to table 205 I realized that it was Jennifer Esposito sitting there looking all gorgeous. Because I love this show I was hoping that she would be kind. Stupid, I realize. It’s a television show. She is an actress. It shouldn’t matter if she’s kind or not. And let’s just say that she was not nice to me during the whole interaction of me serving her. Would that mean that she’s not a nice person or that she was having a bad day? That’s just like me assuming that John Goodman is a jerk because I couldn’t get him the edamame that he requested years ago when we I was doing (and LOATHING) craft services. Maybe he was just really intent on eating healthy and that he was really craving edamame and was counting on the protein and I fucked up his day. Maybe that’s why he was rude to me. I should probably let that go, yes? Clearly, I’m ranting. Miss Jennifer Esposito was lovely and sweet and that means???

Bottom line? I guess I’m fond of nice people.

Aside from perfecting my eavesdropping techniques I’ve just been super busy. I’ve been pulled left and right and well, I’m pretty knackered which is why I haven’t been blogging so much….and sometimes I wonder why I blog….I’ve actually been working on several projects and attempting to get out more.

Also, I love Scarlett’s new song. I think it’s an interesting idea.

So as you may recall, last week we introduced you to a new game that the hacks in the Wall Street Journal newsroom have been playing for years. It’s called the Goatberg Game and the point is simply to count up how many times the egomaniacal Goatberg uses the word I in his column. Half points for words like my, mine, and me. Plus one point for every word that’s used in a phrase that is utterly unnecessary to the story and could be cut without losing anything. Last week, for example, Goatman used the word I thirteen times in a single 840-word column.

But this week Goatberg has pulled a fast one on us — he’s churned out a column where he only uses the word I twice. See here. We’re not sure but we think this may be a new record for Walt. Then again, as Walt acknowledges in this week’s column, his piece today is a retread — or as Walt puts it, “updated from a similar column I wrote in 2006.” To see the original from 2006, go here.

Here’s to hoping that when Walt sits down to write a fresh column he maxes out the egometer once more.

My computer is gone forever =(..I lost all of my pictures, files, and songs..funny my phone just erased everyones number a week ago too!! I feel like I’m on survivor..can I work and stay in contact with everyone with no computer or phone numbers!! =) If I know you send me your number …Electronic problems!! Boo!! Drop me an e-mail if you have any recommendations as to what type of computer I should buy next..the last was a dell..it was pretty phenominal for a while and then started having problems in the last year….luckily I have awesome friends who let me use their computers!! So Ina Fried of CNET bought a refurbished iPod from Buy.com and it arrived looking fine but in fact it was loaded with a virus. Buy.com replaced the bad unit, but still, Ina is upset. Just goes to show. Things aren’t always what they seem. And don’t buy refurbished Apple products from anyone but Apple.
