I went to the dollar store the other day and passed by the silly cheap school supply section.  I was inspired by the flimsy posterboard to take up a little art project.  So I bought a couple sheets, some glue sticks and a packet of paster paper and started planning out my project.

Now admittedly, my plans were a blatant rip-off of some art I had seen at the Seattle Center several years ago, but I really liked it and I guess that excuses my actions.

my project:  a cherry blossom tree made out of cut/ripped paper.

sketch

I sketched out my idea of the finished image, an absurdly twisted rendition of a tree trunk and branches w/ blossoms.

transfer design…

I then roughly sketched the design onto my piece of poster board.
I shredded pieces of browd paper and started gluing them to my posterboard in the shape of the trunk.↓

I then cut out several small pink circles (some I cut into the shape of the blossoms that they will all eventually be) and planned out where I wanted them to be when I finish.↓

That’s as far as I got. I hadplans to do a background scenery out of cut paper as well, but was kind of blocked.  I soon realized taht I probably should have planned out a background before creating my tree.  Live and learn.  Maybe I’ll do some watercolor-like additions, but that would ruin the cut paper theme.  I wish I had some very sheer pnk tissue paper, but it’s not likely to happen.  I may take my tracing paper and give it a slight pink wash.

anywhoooo… this is the status update, as promised.
future updates wil be forthcoming, unless I flake out and forget about this project.

Question: “How do you view femininity and what aspect do you embrace it with ? An artform, personal growth , because its who you are, sexual gratification?”

Yeah, it’s been too long since I’ve blogged.  What’s going on with me?

I like Blake Shelton’s cover of “Home” which of course was first done by Michael Bublé.  Miranda Lambert doing background vocals for her boy Blake adds bonus points of course.  I
OOH!  Speaking of Miranda Lambert, she won Album of the Year at the ACM’s, so I’ve heard.  This makes me almost squee.  I love her.  That was a damn good album.  I almost feel like playing it now.  But I’m listening to the Blake Shelton song ’cause it’s on CMT.

Seeing Taylor Swift win Best New Female Artist made me want to cry tears of joy.  Speaking of tears, I can totally understand why Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland pretty much broke down while shooting the video for “Stay” because that song is fucking sad.  I mean, I haven’t really lived what the song’s talking about, not exactly, but it does bring to mind thoughts of a certain someone.  I sing better when songs remind me of people.  That’s why I love music.

I heard “What I Got” by Sublime on the radio on the way back to NT tonight and it made me smile and think of my FatKid.  Next time I make a mix CD it’s gotta have our song on it.
I feel like I’ve been kind of distant lately, and maybe I have.  I don’t know.  I’ve just been in a funk or something.  Gah.  I think it’s starting to shake loose though.  I needed these couple long weekends here.  A little bit of extra time off from work, you know?

I can’t wait to have a cookout on Monday!  I like hanging out with our crew, and it’s pretty kick-ass that my friend Chris has been coming and chillin’ with us.  He’s one of my bestest friends on this planet.  (Shout out to Chris!)  But damn you for those damn WWE videos and making me get all weepy!  (Hey, you watch Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero tributes and not get teary-eyed!)  It’s kind of hard to get sad about the Benoit videos, especially when they show him hugging Nancy and Daniel in the ring.  I felt kind of sick, to be honest.  But Eddie and Owen, yeah my eyes weren’t dry!

I can’t wait until my vacation, it’ll be a bunch of WoW to get me geared up for haircut and karaoke on Thursday, Darien Lake on Friday, then PARTY on Saturday!  I’ll need Sunday to recover from it all.  @_@

What else, what else?  Ah, observations and questions:

-Santino Marella is one hilarious mo’fo.  Rodney the Piper and Jiminy Kammel are two of my favorite entertainers.

-If someone shows up to work every day at least 5-10 minutes late and constantly screws up their work, finds ways to slack off constantly, and overall just sucks at their job, shouldn’t they be fired?  Is that not proper grounds for dismissal?  I mean, you could fire them without worrying about them crying discrimination?

-India still pisses me off.  I’m contemplating a big fat fuckin’ steak on Memorial Day just to stick it to them.

-McDonalds is dumb if they think people should be impressed because they put chicken and bread together.  Their new chicken sammiches look horribly bland and unoriginal.  Ooh, chicken.  Ooh, a biscuit.  Ooh, pickles.  Oh yay.

-I read an article about this guy getting all butthurt because the new Wii Fit game by Nintendo classified his daughter as fat.  I say, if you’re taking your health/fitness advice from a video game then you fail.  Game over.  Isn’t this why God decided to make people doctors?  People bitch that video games keep kids sitting on the couch, and there finally not just one game, but an entire console designed to get people of all ages up and moving, and they’re still going to find things to bitch about.  GTFO, seriously.

-Why can’t we take the kids away from the weird FLDS people?  I’m not hating on them because of their religion, (they’re not Scientologists!), I just think they shouldn’t have children in their care.  Seeing as they can’t even tell what kid belongs to what parent, and there are just way too many accusations and allegations not to maybe see a shred of truth in them, I’d say things are a bit fucked up there.  I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s incest involved too.  I’m all for freedom of religion, but if your religion is interfering with other peoples’ freedom I’d say your faith doesn’t have its members’ best interests at heart.

-I freaking stalk kidnap meet him.

That’s it for me.  Most of the stuff I wanted to talk about, I forgot, so you got a babble.  Sorry it’s so long, but if you’re still with me, thanks!

Avec amour,
Miss Destiny

P.S.  I find it interesting that when I select my post game, and search for WoW, I get Wrath of the Lich King on the list, when in fact it hasn’t even been released yet.  OMG NOVEMBER 3 CAN’T COME SOON ENOUGH!!~!!!1!!one!

The Clintstones never say die. The only hybrid as noxious as an iPhone/Vista abortion would be an Obama/Clintstone ticket. But that’s just what Billy Bob is pushing, according to Time maggie.

Key snippet:

“In Bill Clinton’s view, she has earned nothing short of an offer to be Obama’s running mate, according to some who are close to the former President. Bill “is pushing real hard for this to happen,” says a friend.

Listen up Barry! Don’t get sucked in. They’ll be talking all Dreamteam and shit but once you’re in there, you know you’ll get shivved. You’d be as disposable as Larry’s number two at Oracle.

Believe it.

I love you all.
I truly do. It means more than the world to me to have people appreciate, shoot.. even just listen to music I’ve made. I take none of it as no less than a blessing that I’ve come this far and y’all are here too.
I, in no way am ranting, whining, complaining about shit EVER.
Those who know me personally and are cool with me throughout whatever will know the same to be true.
It’s difficult to say what I really want to and not have it be taken as the emotional, frustrated whiny “femcee”.

I think that shit is wack.

I love this artform, I don’t particularly love people taking advantage of their opportunity to make it true and beautiful and funny and vulnerable and honest and life changing and romantic and silly and political and yes, anger driven.

That was a lot of “ands”. I know.

That being said. I dunno. I hold back from blogging the real shit a lot. But please, I’ll say this….
If I don’t have that video up… there’s a reason.
If you don’t see me promoting the album.. there’s a reason .
I did not retire for promotional needs.
Please keep listening if you want to..
I’ll keep putting up music, np. It’s been there.

If they wanna do that other video next… Probably a bad idea.

Let’s all see how it plays out together..

I’m with y’all. I’m a fucking fan of hip hop.

This should start to get really real about…….

NOW.

thanks 9th, Busta. Busta for real…

9th, you have the greatest quotes EVER…lmao.

hey fans…..we would’ve done it different.. fyi.

peace everyone.. keep on keeping on.

I’m around, niggas… come see me
